Job Overview:


West Central Technology is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) that services a multitude of clients across most verticals. Knowledge of HPE Server and Storage, Aruba Switches and Wireless, Watchguard Firewalls and Wireless, 3CX phone systems, desktop and laptop troubleshooting, VMware virtualization, Microsoft 365, Veeam, and Barracuda is preferred, but not required. West Central Technology is looking for an enthusiastic Sales Engineer to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our sales team to provide solutions for our clients. This will include designing solutions that fit our clients, constructing quotes, sourcing product, creating Statements of Work for a Project Manager, assisting with training Client Advisors on solutions offered, and maintaining strong client relations. Ultimately, a top-class Sales Engineer drives business by constantly improving the sales team and understanding the needs of the client to provide them with the right product choices.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist Client Advisors with solutions for clients
  • Perform Onsite assessments of client's infrastructure and needs
  • Design solutions that will fit client needs
  • Construct quotes with product(s) applicable to meet client's needs
  • Source product, both for initial quote and during instances of inventory shortages
  • Work with Vendors to ensure builds are compatible
  • Hosting meetings with Client and Internal staff persons to explain solutions
  • Create the technical Statement of Work for the Project Manager
  • Compile and present Business Technical Reviews (BTRs)
  • Develop and provide training on products and services for Client Advisors
  • Support and mentor the sales team
  • Assist in evaluating solutions the company offers our clients and help improve processes
  • Travel to clients and prospects, as needed
  • Maintain strong clients relations
  • Maintain a healthy and motivated office culture
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area
  • Other duties as required

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand networks and computer systems
  • Ability to demonstrate the technical features and benefits of the products we sell
  • Ability to identify poor fit in products and advise with appropriate solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively regarding technical systems and computer issues
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Well organized
  • Proficient in basic office equipment (printer/scanner/copy machine, computer, label maker, ect)
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work as scheduled
